Gender Conference NYC (GC*NYC) is a weekend conference that fosters community and support for transgender and gender expansive youth. Conference events include ally workshops, inspirational lectures, and TGNCNB youth activities. I created their logo under a simple directive: create “a modern logo that reflects the positive energy of the conference” and avoids gendered colors like pink and blue. Hand lettering was the perfect medium to create a mark that felt personal and active. The gradient symbolized the spectrum of gender identities and its vibrant colors added positivity.
