Though Amadeo Modigliani is famous for his painted portraits, “Modigliani Unmasked” at the Jewish Museum focused on the artist's early drawings. For advertising applications, a portrait of poet Anna Akhmatova perfectly captured both the artist's elongated style and his musings about Jewish identity.
